US Hillson’s 2

Ma Jong version in black 5-drawer box.

Box (223x143x97mm) is American. Made of cardboard. The slightly repaired lid is printed with the Hillson image and the addition Ma Jong. Inside there are 4 trays for the tiles and 1 for counters etc.

Tiles (21x29x11mm) are made of lacquered untreated wood. Monochrome imprinted with characters and images identical to those of Piroxloid. There are no spare tiles.

Counters are strips of celluloid. There is also a sticker with info about colors and value.

Dice (2x) are made of bone with western points.

Wind discs are made of bone colored celluloid. Their holder is made of thin celluloid with French Ivory pattern.

Instruction manual is a booklet Hillson’s Mandarin Game Known in China as Ma Jong. There is also an old newspaper clipping.
