‘Chang Chia’. The Leading Chinese Game. In flat, almost square box. In mint condition.

Box (219x178x27mm) is American. Made of cardboard pasted with maroon paper printed with gold. Inside are two compartments for the tiles, counters, dice, wind indicators and four red, wooden racks with grooves.

Tiles (24x32x3mm) are made of cardboard one sided pasted with paper printed in 3 colors with characters and images. The White Dragon is a blue square with reversed dragon and text.

Counters are thin, square sticks of colored wood.

Dice (2x) are made of bone with Western points.

Wind indicators are made of the same material as the tiles but much smaller.

Instruction manual is a belonging booklet with on the cover the same image as on the box. Published by the maker of the set, Pinkney Merchandise Company.
