Box with sliding lid with Babcock characters and copper ornaments.

Box (144x201x84mm) is Chinese. Made of rosewood. It is a compact and rectangular model with a thin blank, not so easy to close sliding lid. On all corners traditional copper ornaments are fastened. The lid features two fake jade characters similar to those of Babcock.

Tiles (21x31x9mm) are Chinese. The used bamboo is rather pale an a bit on the thin side. The engraving is very basic. The Bamboos are drop-shaped. There are no spare tiles.

The set, as usual for its kind, comes without counters, dice, wind indicators and instruction manual.
